Abstract Title:

Resistin, TNF-α and MicroRNA 124-3p Expression in Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells Are Associated with Diabetic Nephropathy

Biography:

Ghorban Mohammadzadeh has completed his PhD from Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, Tabriz, Iran. He is the head of department of clinical biochemistry of Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences, Ahvaz, Iran. He has published more than 50 papers in the biomedical journals. His specific field of research is assessment the association between SNPs of different genes and risk of type 2 diabetes and also study effects of hydroalcoholic extracts of plants on the biochemical factors in animal model of type 2 diabetes.

Research Interests:

Dr. Ghorban Mohammadzadeh’s research interests center on the molecular and biochemical mechanisms underlying type 2 diabetes. His work focuses particularly on investigating the association between single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in various genes and the susceptibility to developing type 2 diabetes. In addition, he has a strong interest in exploring the therapeutic potential of medicinal plants, studying the effects of hydroalcoholic plant extracts on key biochemical and metabolic markers in animal models of diabetes. His research contributes to advancing precision medicine approaches and identifying novel bioactive compounds for diabetes management.
