AI in Endocrinology

Biography:

Hanaa Tarek El-Zawawy is an Endocrinology Consultant at American Hospital Dubai and an Assistant Professor of Endocrinology at Alexandria University Faculty of Medicine, where she obtained her doctorate in Endocrinology in May 2015 at the age of 31 years. El-Zawawy is a member of the Egyptian Society of Endocrinology and Obesity and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. She participates in many national & international conferences and workshops every year. She has authored 24 peer-reviewed publications. She was cited 214 times, H-index=8. Also, she is an active reviewer in many international journals and receives a yearly award from the publisher “WILEY” for her contributions.

Research Interests:

Artificial intelligence has become widely implemented in various aspects of life, including the medical field. In endocrinology, the use of AI has dramatically improved screening, diagnosing, and managing various endocrinological diseases. Nevertheless, AI is not a replacement for endocrinologists; it is a powerful tool to assist clinicians in delivering faster, smarter, and more personalized endocrine care.
